Your therapeutic relationship is protected by law. All information shared during sessions remains confidential and cannot be disclosed without your written permission.

Legal Exceptions to Confidentiality:

  • Mandated Reporting: We are legally required to report suspected child abuse, dependent adult abuse, or elder abuse to appropriate authorities immediately.

  • Duty to Warn: If you threaten serious bodily harm to another person, we must notify law enforcement and inform the intended victim.

  • Safety Concerns: If you express intent to harm yourself, we will work with you to ensure your safety. If you are unable to cooperate in safety planning, we are legally authorized to take necessary protective measures without your permission.
